Author Guidelines

Authors who wish to publish scientific articles in the Bhirawa Law Journal should follow the guidelines of writing that can be downloaded below:

AUTHOR GUIDELINES :

Script scientific articles are submitted in softcopy format using Open Journal System via Bhirawa Law Journal Website http://jurnal.unmer.ac.id/index.php/blj (Register and Online Submissions), e-mail address: blj@unmer.ac.id, which is sent which refers to the following instructions:

Term Instructions

  1. Author Curriculum Vitae.
  2. Letter of Statement from the author above stamp duty Rp. 6.000,- in which state that the article submitted to Bhirawa Law Journal is an original work, never published before, not currently sent to other media.
  3. Proofreading will be sent to the author for the corresponding author in the format file of .doc or .docx for check and correction of typographical. To prevent publication delay, proof must be returned within 7 days. Before it is sent, please make sure that the spelling and grammar have been rechecked and peer-reviewed. The format of the article should follow the guideline, including the sub-title. References format also follows the guideline, which all of the cites have been written on the references and the other way around. Colored pictures are only used if the information cannot be clear enough without them. Graphics and diagrams drawn in black and white; used shading as a differentiator.
  4. All of the required documents are scanned in PDF and put together by WinRar, send it to email: blj@unmer.ac.id with the subject is the author’s name.

Instruction of Scientific Articles Writing
  1. Law publication of the article can be in form of research study and applied theory, conceptual notion, literature review, new books review, bibliography, and practical writing law related.
  2. The article can be written in Bahasa Indonesia or English in form of an essay, including a sub-section in each section, except an introduction without a number of sections. The phase of the sub-section is written in different letters and without small letters and narrative writing style, by minimizing table, picture, and equation.
  3. Manuscript minimum 1.5 spaces, margins: right 3 cmleft 4 cmtop 3 cmBottom 3 cm, minimum 15 pages and maximum 20 Pages including abstract to bibliography; and
  4. Paper size is A4, font type Book Antiqua, font size 14 pts for the title, 12 pts for subsection and substance, abstract using size 11 pts, and 10 pts for the table, graphic, picture, etc (must be written in editable format by editor).

Guidelines for Article based on Research Study

  1. The title is written in compact, clear, informative, and not more than 14 words. Written in Bahasa Indonesia or English;
  2. Author Name Family Name and Surname without shortened it (no title);
  3. Name and Institution Address must be written in full by way and number (or equivalent); County town; Postal code; provinces; country; phone number; the author's email address for correspondence;
  4. The abstract must be written in a compact size (150-200 words). It needs to be informative and shortly stated the research purpose, special method (if there are any). Written in Bahasa Indonesia and English;
  5. Keywords In 3 until 5 phrases. Contain related words or phrases which point out or depict the article concept. Keywords include scientific name, research topic, and special method. Alphabetically order, written in Bahasa Indonesia and English;
  6. Abbreviation (if any) all of the important abbreviations must be mentioned in a full sentence on the first statement and consistently written;
  7. Introduction (without subsection title, problem exposition included) is including research purpose and gives proper background, avoid detailed literature survey or summary of result and findings;
  8. Research Method must be emphasized in the procedure or method and data analysis. For field study, it is better if the location is mentioned. The existence of some equipment that important also mentioned in the procedure;
  9. Results and Findings are written in one section, but for long exposition, the article can be separately put into several sections. The result must be clear and shortly answered why and how questions, not merely expose it with words. Interpretation in findings must be connected with literature and previous research;
  10. The conclusion contains a summary of the result and findings;
  11. Suggestion;
  12. Illustration (if any) must be put into Results and Findings. Illustration in the format of table of picture (optional) is included relevantly writing necessary and given enough explanation, type in Word Document format which can editable;
  13. References it is strongly suggested that 80% of the references must be taken from a scientific journal that has been published in the last 10 years. Use references from research institutions or universities and credible web pages (e.g. IUCN, FAO, etc). Use literature that has been indexed in ISSN online/ ISSN print/ DOI/Scorpus.

Citation Instruction

In-note, Written inside the text when the author uses direct citation after a citation by using brackets. In-note is unified with the article, only marked by opening and close bracket. Use the last name of the author and the released year cited. Example:

Book with two or more authors

...... (Ibrahim, dkk., 2017).

Secondary reference

Smith (2015) as quoted Jones (2016) ......

The Smith Study 2015 (cited in Jones, 2016) shows that ...

More than one reference, it is based on a chronology of years or alphabetically if there is the same year.

References Writing Instruction

References are arranged alphabetically. Writing libraries using Harvard Referencing Standard system. Everything listed in the bibliography should be referred to in the manuscript. Reference updates take precedence.

Additional Instructions (Graphs, Tables, and Photos)

All graphs, tables, and photographs you enter in the document must be adjusted to the order of 1 column or full size of a paper without dots (.), Without bold print, and must be accompanied by a sentence referring to the image/table, to make it easier for reviewers to look at the meaning of the image. Graphs can follow the format for diagrams like Figure 1. The tables are presented in the format shown in Table 2. The images are presented in the format shown in Figure 3.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

This journal charges the following author fees.

Article Publication: 400.00 (IDR)
If this paper is accepted for publication, you will be asked to pay an Article Publication Fee to cover publications costs.

If you do not have funds to pay such fees, you will have an opportunity to waive each fee. We do not want fees to prevent the publication of worthy work.
