The digital transformation of financial services has reshaped the practice of Islamic philanthropy, particularly among Generation Z. However, limited studies have simultaneously examined the roles of financial technology adoption, economic capacity, and institutional communication in influencing digital zakat behavior. This study investigates the effects of e-wallet usage, income, and zakat institutions’ marketing communication on decisions to pay zakat, infaq, and sadaqah (ZIS) among Generation Z in Kisaran City, Indonesia. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 100 respondents through a structured questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The findings reveal that e-wallet usage, income, and marketing communication each exert a positive and significant influence on ZIS payment decisions. Income emerged as the strongest predictor, followed by e-wallet usage and institutional communication. Collectively, these variables explain 80.5% of the variance in payment decisions. The study contributes to the literature on digital Islamic philanthropy and provides strategic insights for zakat institutions seeking to enhance digital fundraising among younger generations.
