Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  • If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

Author Guidelines

Script scientific articles are submitted in softcopy format using Open Journal System via Bhirawa Law Journal Website http://jurnal.unmer.ac.id/index.php/blj (Register and Online Submissions), e-mail address: [email protected], which is sent which refers to the following instructions:

Term Instructions

  1. Author Curriculum Vitae.
  2. Letter of Statement from the author above stamp duty Rp. 6.000,- in which state that the article submitted to Bhirawa Law Journal is an original work, never published before, not currently sent to other media.
  3. Proofreading will be sent to the author for the corresponding author in the format file of .doc or .docx for check and correction of typographical. To prevent publication delay, proof must be returned within 7 days. Before it is sent, please make sure that the spelling and grammar have been rechecked and peer-reviewed. The format of the article should follow the guideline, including the sub-title. References format also follows the guideline, which all of the cites have been written on the references and the other way around. Colored pictures are only used if the information cannot be clear enough without them. Graphics and diagrams drawn in black and white; used shading as a differentiator.
  4. All of the required documents are scanned in PDF and put together by WinRar, send it to email: [email protected] with the subject is the author's name.

Instruction Articles Writing

  1. Law publication of the article can be in form of research study and applied theory, conceptual notion, literature review, new books review, bibliography, and practical writing law related.
  2. The article can be written in Bahasa Indonesia or English in form of an essay, including a sub-section in each section, except an introduction without a number of sections. The phase of the sub-section is written in different letters and without small letters and narrative writing style, by minimizing table, picture, and equation.
  3. Manuscript minimum 1.5 spaces, margins: right 3 cm, left 4 cm, top 3 cm, Bottom 3 cm, minimum 15 pages and maximum 20 Pages including abstract to bibliography; and
  4. Paper size is A4, font type Book Antiqua, font size 14 pts for the title, 12 pts for subsection and substance, abstract using size 11 pts, and 10 pts for the table, graphic, picture, etc (must be written in editable format by editor).

Paper Format

  1. The paper size is A4;
  2. Line spacing: 1 space, margins: right 3 cm, left 4 cm, top 3 cm, Bottom 3 cm; font type: Book Antiqua; font size 18 pts for the title; 12 pts for subsection and substance; abstract using size 10 pts; and 12 pts for the table, graphic, picture, etc (must be written in editable format by editor); and
  3. The word limit for the submission is 4000-8000 words (including footnotes and abstract).

Manuscripts Writing

The author who submits a manuscript to the editors should comply with the Author's Guidelines and Template (Download at Template) and should be written in the English language. If the submitted manuscript does not comply with the guidelines or uses a different format, it will be rejected by the editorial team before being reviewed. The editorial team will only accept a manuscript that meets the specified formatting requirements. This template is designed to assist Author in preparing the manuscript; it is an exact representation of the format expected by the editor. To use this template, please just Save As this MS Word file to your document, then copy and paste your document here. All papers (manuscript and statement letter of scientific) submitted to the journal submissions.

  1. Title

The title of the article is written preferably not more than 14 words. Author(s) name, affiliations, and e-mail.

  1. Abstract

The abstract should be clear, concise, and descriptive. This abstract should provide a brief introduction to the problem, and objective of the paper, followed by a statement regarding the method and a brief summary of the results. Abstract preferably not more than 200 words.

  1. Keywords

Keywords are arranged alphabetically and should have at least two keywords and a maximum of five keywords separated by a semicolon (;).

  1. Introduction

The introduction should be clear and provide the issue to be discussed in the manuscript. At the end of the paragraph, the author/s should end with a comment on the significance concerning the identification of the issue and the objective of the research.

  1. Method

The method is written in descriptive. This method is optional, only for original research articles.

  1. Analysis and Discussion

This section is the most important section of your article. Contains the results of the object of study and should be clear and concise.

  1. Conclusion

The conclusion contains a description that should answer the objectives of the research. Do not repeat the Abstract or simply describe the results of the research. Give a clear explanation regarding the possible application and/or suggestions related to the research findings.

  1. References

For reference, our reference uses the Chicago Manual of Style. It is strongly suggested that 80% of the references must be taken from a scientific journal that has been published in the last 10 years. Use references from a research institution or university and a credible web page (e.g. IUCN, FAO, etc). Use literature that has been indexed in ISSN online/ ISSN print/ DOI/Scopus. Cite only items that you have read and written in footnotes. Please use Reference Manager Applications like EndNote, Mendeley, Zotero, etc. Use other published articles in the same journal as models. All publications cited in the text should be included in the References section and arranged alphabetically. The citation quick guide can be found at: http://www.chicagomanualofstyle.org.

Graphs, Photos, and Tables

The figures should be clearly readable and at least have a resolution of 300 DPI (Dots Per Inch) for good printing quality. All graphs, and photographs you enter in the document must be adjusted to the order of 1 column or full size of a paper without dots (.), Without bold print, and must be accompanied by a sentence referring to the image, to make it easier for reviewers to look at the meaning of the image. Graphs can follow the format for diagrams like Graphs 1. The images are presented in the format shown in Figure 2. Table made with the open model (without the vertical lines). The tables are presented in the format shown in Table 3.
