Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  • If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

Author Guidelines

1. General Guidelines
- Jurnal Penelitian is published twice a year, in June and December.
- Manuscripts must be submitted online via https://jurnal.unmer.ac.id/index.php/jp/index.
- The manuscript should summarize the results of community service implementation.
- Manuscripts must be written in MS Word format and prepared for printing according to the provided template.
- The maximum file size for MS Word manuscripts is 2 MB.
- Manuscripts must be written in English using Palatino Linotype font, size 10 pt.
- The manuscript should be 10–15 pages long, single-spaced.
- Page formatting should be in a single-column layout.
- Paper size must be A4 with the following margin settings: Top, bottom, and right margins: 2.0 cm; Left margin: 3.0 cm

2. Manuscript Submission
Manuscripts must be submitted in softcopy format via the Open Journal System (OJS) at http://jurnal.unmer.ac.id/index.php/jp/index.
Each submission must include:
1. A complete curriculum vitae of the author.
2. A manuscript formatted according to the guidelines below.

3. Writing Instructions
- Manuscripts should be single-spaced and between 10–15 pages, including the abstract and references.
- Paper size: A4
- Font: Palatino Linotype, 10 pt (except for tables, charts, and figures, which should be in 9 pt).
- All manuscripts (including tables, figures, and equations) must be editable in MS Word format to allow for editorial adjustments.

4. General Writing Style
Manuscripts submitted to Jurnal Penelitian may include:
- Theoretical studies and applications,
- Research findings,
- Conceptual ideas,
- Literature reviews,
- Book reviews, and
- Other practical writings related to finance and banking.
Manuscripts can be written in Indonesian or English; however, only English-language versions will be published. The writing style should be narrative, minimizing the use of tables, figures, and equations. Each section should have subheadings.

Conceptual and Research Manuscripts
The structure of a conceptual manuscript consists of:
1. Title
2. Author's Name (without academic titles)
3. Affiliation & Correspondence Address (including telephone, fax, and email)
4. Abstract
5. Keywords
6. Introduction (without a subheading)
7. Main Content (divided into subheadings)
8. Conclusion
9. References

The structure of a research manuscript includes:

Detailed Guidelines for Each Section

Title
- Must not exceed 14 words.
Author Information
- Full name of the author(s) (without academic titles or abbreviations).
- Institution name and full affiliation address (including ZIP code).
- Corresponding author's contact details (telephone, fax, and email).
Abstract
- Word count: 150–200 words (single paragraph).
- For research manuscripts: Include the research objective, methods, and key findings.
- For conceptual articles: Summarize the main ideas and overall content of the manuscript.
Keywords
- Must be in 3–6 phrases.
- Should include key terms relevant to the manuscript’s topic.
- Must be arranged alphabetically.
Introduction
- Introduces the topic and objectives of the study.
- Provides theoretical and empirical background information.
- Explains previous studies and findings that support the research.
- Maintains a logical and coherent flow of ideas.
Hypotheses Development (if applicable)
- Presents a theoretical and empirical explanation supporting the hypotheses.
- Hypotheses must be testable and falsifiable.
Methods
- Provides enough detail for readers to replicate the study.
- Includes information on:
- Research design
- Population and sample
- Data sources and collection methods
- Data analysis techniques
Results
- Presents findings in a structured and systematic manner.
- Includes interpreted data rather than raw data.
- Figures, tables, and charts must be cited within the text.
Discussion
- Interprets research findings about theory and previous studies.
- Answers research questions and evaluates hypotheses (if applicable).
- Discusses the implications of the findings for academic and practical applications.
Conclusion
- Provides a summary of key findings.
- Should offer insights for further research.
