Author Guidelines

Authors are suggested to submit their manuscript through the online submission system at Tabularasa's official website at:

Online Submission Guidelines

Authors must register themselves (by registering and creating an account) as an Author on the website. Register Here

After log in, click “New Submission”. The steps for submitting an article are as follows:

  1. Start Section : Complete all checklists, then click save and continue
  2. Upload Submission : Click “Upload File” and choose your manuscript document file (.doc/.docx) to be submitted, then click upload button.
  3. Enter Metadata : Enter the information for each author and their affiliates. And then, fill in the manuscript title, abstract, keywords, and references.
  4. Upload Supplementary Files : Author is allowed to upload supplementary files. Click “Upload File” and choose supplementary file (.doc/.docx) to be submitted, then click upload button.
  5. Confirmation : Author should final check the uploaded manuscript documents, then click “Finish Submission” after all the documents are true.

 

General Instructions

  1. The written manuscript contents and systematic must be described narratively by using essay format in paragraph and based on the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Journal (APA) (7th Edition). Please check APA Citation Guide for more explanation. APA Style References
  2. Articles submitted should be original works, and should not previously published in any printed or online journal.
  3. Once the submission (article) is on “under review” or has been published in this journal, the author(s) are not permitted to submit the article to another journal.
  4. Article must be submitted online to the editors via Jurnal Psikologi Tabularasa
  5. Article should use Book Antiqua Font (10.5pt), with 1.5 spacing, A4 page size (210 x 297 mm) in MS Word format.
  6. Tables or graphs must be in editable format

 

Particular Instructions

The content and guidelines of articles should follow a narrative essay format, presented in paragraphs without numbered headings, and must include the following components :

1. The Title of the manuscrpt

The title should be concise and straightforward to describe the content of the manuscript. It may use attractive and creative titles to attract readers (maximum 15 words).

2. Author Name

Write the full name of the author without a title, the institution where the author work/study (affiliation) and the author's address of the correspondent (e-mail).

3. Abstract

The Abstract must be written in English and Bahasa Indonesia with 1.0 line spacing and a maximum of 250 words containing hypothesis, research subject, method, and result.

4. Keywords

The main words in the study can be taken from the research variables, the characteristics of the research subject, and the referred theory (Please provide five keywords, written in alphabetical order).

5. Introduction

The title of introduction are not written and must contain preliminary, problems, and theoretical (shortly and consecutively) a general background and a literature review (state of the art) as the basis of the brand new research question, statements of the brand new scientific article, main research problems, and the hypothesis. In the final part of the introduction, the purpose of the article writing should be stated. In the scientific article format, it does not allow to write down the references as in the research report. They should be represented in the literature review to show the brand new of the scientific article.

6. Research Methods

This part consist of the methods that’s been used or implemented to solve problems, including analytic methods. The methods used in the problem solving of the research are explained in this part.

7. Result

This part consists of the research results and how they are discussed. The results obtained from the research have to be supported by sufficient data. The research results and the discovery must be the answers or the research hypothesis stated previously in the introduction part.

8. Discussion

9. Conclusion

This section is concise, clear and solid based on the results of the study (a maximum of 1 page), made in paragraph (not numerical) form, containing the findings as syntheses between the results of the analysis and the results of the study, and further highlighting the novelty contributing to the development of psychology

10. References

The References List is a Bibliography, it shall co ntain all sources referred to in the Manuscript, and shall not contain unused sources. The reference list contains all references in text originating from sources that are: (a) relevant, (b) at least 80% up to date (last 10 years), and (c) primary (at least 80%), mainly from the journal Manuscript. For the better format, we suggest to the author using citation app like Mendeley or Zotero.

If Authors encounter difficulties in submitting their manuscript through the official website, Authors can submit their articles by sending an e-mail with the manuscript file attached to both official e-mail addresses.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. All citations in the text should be availabe in the references list and all refences in the references list should be cited in the text. To ensure that, use references managers to cite references (e.g., Mendeley or Endnote). Where available, URLs or DOI for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
