Penguatan Peran Sektor Keuangan bagi Percepatan Pemerataan Kesejahteraan

Abstract


Kebijakan untuk mengoptimalkan peranan sektor keuangan bagi penurunan angka kemiskinan dan ketimpangan seringkali kurang berhasil. Hal ini diakibatkan oleh lemahnya daya analisis untuk memetakan akar masalah penyebab kemiskinan. Padahal, peranan sektor keuangan sangat dibutuhkan dalam menyediakan aksesibilitas jasa layanan keuangan terutama kepada masyarakat miskin. Mengoptimalkan peran sektor keuangan dalam menciptakan model keuangan yang inklusif diyakini mampu menciptakan pemerataan kesejahteraan yang bisa bertahan dalam jangka panjang. Berdasarkan latar belakang tersebut, tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi bagaimana mekanisme untuk mengoptimalkan peranan sektor keuangan dalam mempercepat pemerataan kesejahteraan. Berdasarkan metode literature review, hasil beragam studi empiris menemukan bahwa optimalisasi peranan sektor keuangan harus bisa mengkonstruksi akar masalah penyebab kedalaman dan keparahan kemiskinan. Strategi yang bisa dikembangkan adalah meningkatkan edukasi dan literasi keuangan di perdesaan, menciptakan ekosistem keuangan yang kondusif, dukungan politik, dan perbaikan kelembagaan bagi masing-masing pelaku sektor keuangan, khususnya agar mampu menciptakan skema pemberdayaan pasca aksesibilitas keuangan diberikan. Semua skema tersebut menjadi syarat untuk mendorong inovasi atas produk dan jasa layanan keuangan yang yang sesuai dengan karakteristik masyarakat sasaran, sehingga diharapkan mampu mempercepat pemerataan kesejahteraan dalam jangka panjang.
