Efforts to generate electrical energy are by utilizing water turbines as generator drivers. Mini water turbine generators are one alternative solution. The performance testing of this mini water turbine prototype uses water flow from a reservoir which is forwarded through a pump based on variations in discharge using a 220 Volt AC dimmer. The mini water turbine prototype is a crossflow turbine (Banki) type water turbine, has 21 blades, an inlet (nozzle) diameter of 2.5 mm, an outlet diameter of 15 mm and an axial gap of 0.2 - 1.0 mm. In this test, a 12 Volt DC LED lamp load was used. The results of this water turbine prototype test produced the highest efficiency of 54.6% at a water flow rate of 5.7 (liters/minute), a DC electric current of up to 423 (Ma) with a power of 4.03 Watts and a voltage of 9.53 Volts.
