PENGARUH VARIASI FLOWRATE UDARA BAKAR TERHADAP TEMPERATUR GASIFIKASI BIOMASSA DAN KESTABILAN GAS PRODUK

Gasifikasi biomassa merupakan salah satu metode untuk merubah bahan bakar padat seperti tandankelapa sawit, sekam padi, kayu dan sampah organik lainnya menjadi gas mampu bakar seperti CO, CH4dan H2. Selama proses gasifikasi biomassa mengalami urutan reaksi yang komplek (drying / pengeringan,pirolisis, combustion / pembakaran, reduksi). Daerah-daerah gasifikasi tersebut yaitu pengeringan,pirolisa, pembakaran dan reduksi diidentifikasikan berdasar jangkauan temperatur pada daerah tersebut.Temperatur daerah pengeringan, pirolisa dan reduksi sangat tergantung pada tingginya temperatur padadaerah pembakaran. Oleh karenanya kecepatan reaksi pembakaran yang terjadi di daerah pembakaranmerupakan salah satu faktor penting yang menentukan tingginya temperatur di daerah tersebut.Penambahan flowrate udara bakar merupakan salah satu metode yang mudah dan murah untukmeningkatkan kecepatan pembakaran. Dari hasil pengujian yang dilakukan ternyata didapatkan bahwapenggunaan flowrate udara bakar 292,49 - 413,73 lpm untuk proses gasifikasi biomassa 50% tandankosong dan 50% tempurung kelapa sawit adalah yang mampu menghasilkan temperatur gasifikasi yangpaling stabil dan mampu menghasilkan gas produk dengan nyala paling lama yaitu 25 menit.References
