Ball screw merupakan sebuah perangkat mekanik yang cukup penting pada mesin perkakas NC. Ball screwberfungsi sebagai pemindah gerak dari putaran motor aksis menjadi gerakan translasi linier bolak-balik mejaatau kepala mesin.Ball screw hanya didisain untuk menahan beban aksial tekan atau tarik. Selama operasi berlangsung, bebanaksial yang terjadi tidak boleh melampaui beban aksial krtisnya untuk menghindari tekukan atau buckling.References
