PROSES ANODISASI KUNING MENGGUNAKAN ASAM OKSALAT PADA MATERIAL AL 6061 T6

Logam aluminium yang telah mengalami proses anodisasi maka daya hantar listriknya akan berkurangkarena terbentuknya lapisan oksida dipermukaan. Aluminium anodisasi umumnya digunakan sebagaiisolator pada peralatan listrik. Selain itu terjadi perubahan sifat secara mekanik aluminium menjadilebih keras dan getas.Melalui proses anodisasi menggunakan media asam oksalat dan sodium dikromat, permukaanAluminium menjadi berwarna kuning yang akan meningkatkan nilai dekoratif material tersebut.Dengan memvariasikan rapat arus dan waktu, diharapkan diperoleh hasil anodisasi yang optimumterhadap ketahanan korosi dan sifat mekanik. Proses anodisasi dilakukan pada rapat arus 3 A/dm2 dan5 A/dm2. Waktu proses divariasikan selama 20, 40 dan 60 menit pada masing-masing rapat arus.Dari hasil penelitian terlihat bahwa waktu dan rapat arus menentukan ketebalan lapisan oksida yangterbentuk, Semakin besar rapat arus maka ketebalan lapisan oksida semakin tinggi. Dan semakin lamawaktu proses maka oksida yang terbentuk semakin tebal.References
