KARAKTERISTIK SELF EXCITED VIBRATION PADA ALIRAN FLUIDA DALAM PIPA FLEKSIBEL

Pertukaran antara energi tekanan dan kecepatan di dalam aliran fluida pada saat melewati daerah denganperubahan luasan penampang akan berpengaruh terhadap stabilitas aliran fluida didalam sebuah selang(tube). Kecepatan aliran yang besar akan mendorong semakin cepat terjadinya penurunan stabilitas akibatterjadinya fluktuasi aliran yang ditandai dengan osilasi dinding selang yang meningkat. Osilasi yang terjadiberkembang menjadi amplitudo yang besar kemudian dikenal dengan self excited vibration.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan karakteristik getaran yang dihasilkan dan aspek-aspek yangmempengaruhi self excited vibration.Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan frekwensi getaran yang dihasilkan dengan pendekatan matematis antara11 sampai dengan 14 Hz. Rasio jepit (pinch ratio) selang yang menghasilkan kondisi aliran kritis 0.56 s/d0.59 pada kapasitas aliran antara 12 s/d 16 liter/menit. Semakin tinggi kapasitas aliran akan meningkatkanmomentum aliran fluida di dalam selang.References
