FASA MARTENSIT, FERIT PROEUTEKTOID, PERLIT HALUS PADA MEDIUM CARBON STEEL 0,45%C HASIL PROSES HARDENING DAN NORMALIZING

Baja karbon menengah 0,4% C untuk pembuatan komponen otomotif dengan proses pemesinan diperlukan sifat keuletan dan kekerasan. Salah satu cara untuk memperbaiki kedua sifat tersebut, dapat dilakukan dengan proses perlakuan panas jenis proses hardening dan normalizing. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui, membandingkan, menganalisa baja karbon menengah 0,45% C setelah proses hardening 8300C pendinginan air, oli SAE 90 dan normalizing 7800C pendinginan udara dengan waktu tahan 15 menit, 30 menit, 45 menit yang sama serta untuk mengetahui, menganalisa komposisi kimia baja karbon menengah 0,45% C. Manfaat penelitian untuk mengetahui, menganalisa peningkatan sifat keuletan, kekerasan baja karbon menengah 0,45% C setelah proses hardening 8300C dan normalizing 7800C serta memberikan kontribusi bagi usaha kecil menengah, khususnya di bidang pemesinan pembuatan komponen otomotif. Kesimpulan proses hardening 8300C terbentuk fasa martensit, angka kekerasan lebih tinggi dibanding proses normalizing 7800C terbentuk fasa ferit proeutektoid dan perlit halus angka kekerasan semakin menurun, sehingga sifat keuletannya semakin meningkat.References
