Author Guidelines

Scientific article manuscripts are submitted in softcopy format using the Open Journal System via the Composite Website: Journal of Civil Engineering. http://jurnal.unmer.ac.id/index.php/cjce/register/ (Register and Online Submissions), e-mail address: composite@unmer.ac.id, which is sent with reference to the following instructions:

 

Term Instructions

  1. Writing a Curriculum Vitae.
  2. Statement from the author on stamp duty of Rp. 6,000, - which states that the articles submitted to Composite: Journal of Civil Engineering (CJCE) are original works, never previously published, currently not sent to other media, and accept to transfer the statement of the article to Composite: Journal of Civil Engineering (CJCE).
  3. Proof of reading will be sent to the author to the appropriate author in .doc or .docx file format for proofreading and correction of typography. To prevent late publication, the evidence must be returned within 7 days. Before submitting, make sure that the spelling and grammar are double-checked and peer-reviewed. The format of the article must follow the guidelines, including subtitles. Reference formats also follow the guidelines, where all citations are written in the reference and vice versa. Color images are only used if the information is not clear enough. Graphics and diagrams in black and white; using shading as a differentiator.
  4. All required documents are scanned in PDF form and put together in .rar or .zip form, then send to email: composite@unmer.ac.id with the subject of the author's name.

Instruction of Scientific Articles Writing

Instructions for Writing Scientific Articles

  1. The publication of articles can be in the form of research studies and applied theory, conceptual understanding, literature reviews, new book reviews, and related practical writing laws.
  2. Articles can be written in Indonesian or English in essay form, including subsections in each section, except for an introduction without part numbers.
  3. The sub-sections are written in different letters and without lowercase letters and in a narrative writing style, by reducing tables, figures, and equations.
  4. The manuscript has at least 1.5 spaces, margin: right 3 cm, left 4 cm, top 3 cm, bottom 3 cm, minimum 8 pages and maximum 12 pages including abstract in the bibliography; and
  5. A4 paper size, Book Antiqua font type, 14 point font size for title, 12 points for subsections and substance, abstract using 11 points, and 10 points for tables, graphics, images, etc. (must be written in the form of edited format).

 

Guidelines for Article based on Research Studies

  1. The title is written in a concise, clear, informative manner and does not exceed 14 words. Written in Indonesian or English;
  2. The author's Name and Family Name are written without abbreviations (without title);
  3. Name and Address of the Institution must be written in full with the method and number (or equivalent); County town; Postal code; province; country; phone number; author's email address for correspondence;
  4. The abstract must be written in the same size (150-200 words). Informative research objectives and concise, specific methods (if any). Written in Indonesian and English;
  5. Keywords in 3 to 5 words. Contains related words or phrases that indicate or describe the concept of the article. Keywords include scientific names, research topics, and specific methods. Alphabetical order, written in Indonesian and English;
  6. Abbreviation (if any). All important abbreviations must be stated in full sentences in the first statement and written consistently;
  7. Introduction (without sub-section headings, including an exposition of the problem, the purpose of the study should provide an appropriate background, avoid detailed literature surveys or summaries of results and findings;
  8. Research methods should emphasize procedures or methods and data analysis. For field studies, a location should be stated. The presence of some essential equipment is also mentioned in the procedure;
  9. Results and Findings are written in one section, but for a long exposition, the article can be divided into several sections. The results should be clear and answer the why and how questions, not just put into words. The interpretation of the findings should be linked to the literature and previous research;
  10. Conclusion: contains a summary of the results and findings;
  11. Suggestions;
  12. Illustrations (if any) should be incorporated into the Results and Findings. Illustrations in table figure format (optional) with relevant writing required and sufficient explanation, type in editable Word Document format;
  13. References It is highly recommended that 80% of references are taken from scientific journals that have been published in the last 10 years. Use references from research institutes or universities and credible web pages (e.g. IUCN, FAO, and others). Use literature that has been indexed on the ISSN online

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check delivery compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors who do not comply with these guidelines.

  • Articles submitted have not been published before, nor are they submitted to other journals for consideration (explanation has been provided in Comments for Editors).
  • Article files are submitted in Open Office, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file formats.
  • Where available, URLs for reference are welcome.
  • Manuscripts are single-spaced; use a 12-point font; use italics, not underline (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed in the text at their designated places.
  • The manuscript/manuscript complies with the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author's Guide, which can be found in About Journal.
  • Articles will be submitted to the peer-reviewed section of the journal, using the Blind Review system.
  • Authors must ensure that they have written a complete original work, if the author uses the work and/or words of other people it must be cited correctly, and if any indication of plagiarism is found (above 25%) in the text, then Composite: Journal of Civil Engineering (CJCE) automatically reserves the right to reject the manuscript. Composite: Journal of Civil Engineering (CJCE) will recommend important sections of the manuscript prior to publication. The author also appreciates the writing in Composite: Journal of Civil Engineering (CJCE) for excessive publicity, duplication, or fraud.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.

  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which are found in About the Journal.

  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

 

Copyright Notice

The copyright of the received article shall be assigned to the journal as the publisher of the journal. The intended copyright includes the right to publish the article in various forms (including reprints). The journal maintains the publishing rights to the published articles.
