This study discusses the importance of quality human resources in improving organizational performance, especially in the Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency of Samarinda City. The Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency of Samarinda City in carrying out its duties and functions of organizing government affairs and formulating technical policies in the fields of revenue, financial management and assets strives to utilize various available resources optimally, efficiently, effectively and accountably. The research method used is normative juridical. This study assesses the performance of Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency employees in planning, implementing, and accounting for the budget and managing assets. The results show that employee performance is good with timely and accurate financial reports, although there are still obstacles such as budget constraints, complex bureaucracy, and lack of training. In conclusion, increasing human resource capacity and implementing information technology is needed for more optimal, effective, and transparent regional financial management.
