Jurnal Nomosleca (JN) is a scientific periodical journal of Communication Sciences, University of Merdeka Malang, which includes a variety of research in the field of communication phenomenons, the analysis of actual case studies or ideas related to the actual communications studies. The focus of Jurnal Nomosleca is study in the field of Communication and other multi-disciplines that are able to be combined with the science of communication. This journal is published twice every year in April and October. More several other changes in Jurnal Nomosleca are informed in the Journal History.

Sejarah Jurnal
Jurnal Nomosleca merupakan jurnal ilmiah dari Program Studi Ilmu Komunikasi fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik Universitas Merdeka Malang yang berisi tentang berbagai hasil penelitian dan kajian pustaka di bidang Ilmu Komunikasi. Periode ilmiah dimaksudkan sebagai sarana komunikasi ilmiah dan sarana pembinaan, pengembangan, dan penguatan pengetahuan di bidang Ilmu Komunikasi. Akademisi, praktisi yang terkait Ilmu Komunikasi, atau siapa pun yang tertarik dengan bidang Ilmu Komunikasi dapat mengajukan makalah ilmiah kepada editor dengan memperhatikan pedoman untuk menulis. Para editor memiliki hak untuk merevisi penulisan tanpa mengubah substansi. Penulis bertanggung jawab atas substansi dan keaslian artikel.
Publikasi berkala ilmiah ini terbit perdana pada April 2015 dan disambung dengan terbitan kedua pada Oktober 2015. Jurnal ini terbit berkala dua kali satu tahun, pada 23Maret 2015 memiliki ISSN print 2015 2443-0927
dan pada 13 Oktober 2016 memiliki e-ISSN 2541-6650.
Tahun 2016 terbit secara online seiring dengan memilikinya e-ISSN. Tahun 2017 terindeks DOAJ dan google schoolar.Tahun 2018 memiliki DOI
Pada tahun 2019 terjadi perubahan struktur kepengurusan, alamat penerbit, nama reviewer, pedoman penulisan, dan sistematika penulisan. Jurnal Nomosleca terindeks di Sinta 4 Ristek Dikti pada tahun 2019. Selanjutnya, setiap tahun hingga tahun 2022, keberlanjutan Jurnal Nomosleca melakukan formasi perubahan dengan menambah reviewer dan editor yang disesuaikan dengan studi lapangan.
Umumnya pada tahun 2022 Jurnal Nomosleca melakukan perubahan dengan menambah jumlah artikel pada setiap terbitannya. jumlah artikel awal adalah 7 sampai 10 artikel di setiap nomor terbitan.
Journal History
The Nomosleca journal is a scientific journal from the Communication Science Study Program, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Merdeka University of Malang which contains various research results and literature reviews in the field of Communication Science. The scientific period is intended as a means of scientific communication and a means of fostering, developing, and strengthening knowledge in the field of Communication Studies. Academics, practitioners related to Communication Science, or anyone interested in the field of Communication Science can submit scientific papers to the editor with due observance of the guidelines for writing. The editors have the right to revise the writing without changing the substance. The author is responsible for the substance and originality of the article.
This scientific periodical publication was first published in April 2015 and continued with the second issue in October 2015. This journal is published twice a year, on March 23, 2015, has ISSN print 2015 2443-0927, and on October 13, 2016, has e-ISSN 2541-6650.
In 2016 it was published online along with having an e-ISSN. Further, in 2017 indexed by DOAJ and Google Scholar, Nomosleca reached DOI in 2018.
In 2019 there were changes to the management structure, publisher address, reviewer name, writing guidelines, and writing systematics. Jurnal Nomosleca was indexed on Sinta 4 Ristek Dikti in 2019. Nextly, every year until 2022, Jurnal Nomosleca sustainibility did the change formation by adding reviewers and editors who were customized with field study.
Generally, in 2022 Jurnal Nomosleca made changes by adding the number of articles in each issue. the initial number of articles is 7 to 10 articles in each issue number.

If you do not have funds to pay such fees, you will have an opportunity to waive each fee. We do not want fees to prevent the publication of worthy work.
Screening for Plagiarism
In this publication, the Jurnal Nomosleca strongly opposes plagiarism because of its own abilities. The Jurnal Nomosleca is committed to blocking plagiarism, including self-plagiarism.
The author must ensure that the author has written the original work fully, if the author has used the work and / or words of others who have been quoted correctly, and if found indications of plagiarism (above 25%) in the text, then the Jurnal Nomosleca automatically has the right to reject the manuscript. The Jurnal Nomosleca strongly recommends, too, an important part of the manuscript before it is published. Review Guideline and Process
Peer Review Process
The research article submitted to this online journal will be peer-reviewed by at least 2 (two) reviewers. The accepted research articles will be available online following the journal peer-reviewing process. The languages used in this journal are English and Indonesian.
Review Guidelines
General
- Give a mark on the wrong part or part that needs to be changed

Detail
- Title: Effectiveness, Specification, and clarity
- Abstract: Complete and describe the essence of the article
- Keywords: Describing the essential concept of the article
- Introduction: Up-to-date, originality, relevance of the Topic, compatibility of the important reason for the research object
- Research Method: Has to emphasize procedure and data analysis for empirical study
- Result: Analysis accurateness
- Findings: Up-to-date findings, relevance to the interrelated researchers, and the scientific contribution effect of finding /idea to the development of science
- Conclusion: Logical, valid, brief, and clear
- Suggestion: For practical action, development of new theory, and next/advanced research
- Picture/Table: Center located, Not cutted, Good quality to view, Picture/table title, Referred with a capital letter
- Bibliography: The degree of up-to-date and the reference to primary book sources. Rules: minimum 80% of the journals or the interrelated scientific researchers, above 2019 (year); the number of book sources is a minimum of 10; minimum of 80% in the text/material of art.
Full Review Process of Manuscript
- Writing: Is the manuscript easy to follow, that is, has a logical progression and evident organization?
- Is the manuscript concise and understandable? Any parts that should be reduced,
- Eliminated/expanded/added?
- Note if there are major problems with mechanics: grammar, punctuation, spelling. (If there are just a few places that aren’t worded well or correctly, make a note to tell the author the specific places. If there are consistent problems throughout, only select an example or two if need be- don’t try and edit the whole thing).
- Abbreviations: Used judiciously and are composed such that the reader won’t have trouble remembering what an abbreviation represents.
- Follows style, format, and other rules of the journal.
- Citations are provided when providing evidence-based information from outside sources.
Categories Decision
- Publish : No Need Revision
- Minor : Revision can be done by the Editor-In-Chief or those who help
- Major : Revision can only be done by the author
- Rejected : Unproperly scientific or too many
Revision Guidelines
The paper that has received the results of the review is expected to be immediately revised to adjust the suggestions and questions that exist in the review results. The author is given no later than 15 days to revise his paper, counted since the submission of the review results. If at that time the author does not upload the revised paper, then the paper will not be refused to be published (reject). Renewal time extensions can be obtained following strong demand and reason. When a reviewer gives a comment on a paper (in the comment box), the writer is asked to directly reply to that comment box. The answer from the author can be Information that has been revised or reason/argumentation if the author is not willing to revise for some reason (please can be submitted in the comments field already available briefly and details).

After the revision is complete, the revised paper file is named after the revised paper and uploaded on the Journal website of Jurnal Nomosleca. The editor will receive only one post-revision paper. Revisions to comments from the second reviewer and additional sentences were also made on the post-revision paper marked with a green highlighter.

Publication decisions
The editor is responsible for deciding which of the articles submitted to the journal should be published.
The editor may be guided by the policies of the journal's editorial board and constrained by such legal requirements as shall then be in force regarding libel, copyright infringement, and plagiarism. The editor may confer with other editors or reviewers in making this decision.
Fair play
An editor at any time evaluates manuscripts for their intellectual content without regard to race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy of the authors.
Confidentiality
The editor and any editorial staff must not disclose any information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, potential reviewers, other editorial advisers, and the publisher, as appropriate.
Disclosure and conflicts of interest
Unpublished materials disclosed in a submitted manuscript must not be used in an editor's own research without the express written consent of the author.
Duties of Reviewers
Contribution to Editorial Decisions
Peer review assists the editor in making editorial decisions and through the editorial communications with the author may also assist the author in improving the paper.
Promptness
Any selected referee who feels unqualified to review the research reported in a manuscript or knows that its prompt review will be impossible should notify the editor and excuse himself from the review process.
Confidentiality
Any manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents. They must not be shown to or discussed with others except as authorized by the editor.
Standards of Objectivity
Reviews should be conducted objectively. Personal criticism of the author is inappropriate. Referees should express their views clearly with supporting arguments.
Acknowledgment of Sources
Reviewers should identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors. Any statement that an observation, derivation, or argument had been previously reported should be accompanied by the relevant citation. A reviewer should also call to the editor's attention any substantial similarity or overlap between the manuscript under consideration and any other published paper of which they have personal knowledge.
Disclosure and Conflict of Interest
Privileged information or ideas obtained through peer review must be kept confidential and not used for personal advantage. Reviewers should not consider manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest resulting from competitive, collaborative, or other relationships or connections with any of the authors, companies, or institutions connected to the papers.
Duties of Authors
Reporting standards
Authors of reports of original research should present an accurate account of the work performed as well as an objective discussion of its significance. Underlying data should be represented accurately in the paper. A paper should contain sufficient detail and references to permit others to replicate the work. Fraudulent or knowingly inaccurate statements constitute unethical behavior and are unacceptable.
Originality and Plagiarism
The authors should ensure that they have written entirely original works, and if the authors have used the work and/or words of others that this has been appropriately cited or quoted.
Multiple, Redundant, or Concurrent Publication
An author should not in general publish manuscripts describing essentially the same research in more than one journal or primary publication. Submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal concurrently constitutes unethical publishing behavior and is unacceptable.
Acknowledgment of Sources
Proper acknowledgment of the work of others must always be given. Authors should cite publications that have been influential in determining the nature of the reported work.
Authorship of the Paper
Authorship should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the reported study. All those who have made significant contributions should be listed as co-authors. Where there are others who have participated in certain substantive aspects of the research project, they should be acknowledged or listed as contributors.
The corresponding author should ensure that all appropriate co-authors and no inappropriate co-authors are included in the paper and that all co-authors have seen and approved the final version of the paper and have agreed to its submission for publication.
Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest
All authors should disclose in their manuscript any financial or other substantive conflict of interest that might be construed to influence the results or interpretation of their manuscript. All sources of financial support for the project should be disclosed.
Fundamental errors in published works
When an author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in his/her own published work, it is the author’s obligation to promptly notify the journal editor or publisher and cooperate with the editor to retract or correct the paper.
