Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  • If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

For authors who wish to publish scientific articles in the  Journal Nomosleca, they should follow the guidelines for writing that can be downloaded below:

Term Instructions

  1. Author Curriculum Vitae.
  2. Letter of Statement from the author above, stamp duty Rp. 10.000,- in which state that the article submitted to Jurnal Nomosleca is an original work, never published before, not currently sent to other media, and agrees to transfer the copyright of the article to Jurnal Nomosleca.
  3. Proofreading will be sent to the author for the corresponding author in format file of .doc or .docx format file for checking and correction of typographical errors. To prevent the publication delay, proof must be returned within 7 days. Before it is sent, please make sure that the spelling and grammar have been rechecked and peer-reviewed. The format of the article should follow the guidelines, including a subtitle. References format also follows the guideline, which all of the citations have been written in the references and not the other way around. A coloured picture is only used if the information cannot be clear enough without it. Graphics and diagrams were drawn in black and white; they used shading as a differentiator.
  4. All of the required documents scanned in PDF and put together by WinRar, send it to the email: [email protected] with the subject being the author's name.

Instruction on Scientific Articles Writing

  1. Communication publication of the article can be in the form of a research study and applied theory, conceptual notion, literature review, new book review, bibliography, and practical writing related.
  2. The article can be written in Bahasa Indonesia or English in the form of an essay, including a sub-section in each section, except the introduction, without of section number. The phase of sub-section is written in a different letter and without small letters and narrative writing style, by minimizing tables, pictures, and equations.
  3. Manuscript minimum 1.15 spaces, margins: right 3 cm, left 4 cm, top 3 cm, Bottom 3 cm, minimum 15 pages and maximum 20 Pages including abstract to bibliography; and
  4. Paper size is A4, font type Arial, font size 18 pts for the title, 11 pts for sub-section and substance, abstract using size 9 pts, and 11 pts for table, graphic, picture, etc (must be written in editable format by the editor).

Guidelines for an Article Based on a Research Study

  1. Title written in compact, clear, informative, and no more than 14 words. Written in Bahasa Indonesia;
  2. Author Name Family Name and Surname without shortening it (no title);
  3. Name and Institution Address must be written in full by way and number (or equivalent); County town; Postal code; provinces; country; phone number; the author's email address for correspondence;
  4. Abstract must be written in a compact size (150-200 words). It is needed to inform and state a short research purpose, special method (if there is any). Written in Bahasa Indonesia and English;
  5. Keywords in 3 to 5 phrases. Contains of related word or phrase that points out or depicts the article's concept. Keywords include scientific name, research topic, and special method. Alphabetically ordered, written in Bahasa Indonesia and English;
  6. Abbreviation (if any) all important abbreviations must be mentioned in full sentences in the first statement and consistently written;
  7. Introduction (without sub-section title, problem exposition included) includes research purpose and gives proper background, avoids detailed literature survey or summary of results and findings;
  8. Research Method must emphasize the procedure or method and data analysis. For a field study, it is better if the location is mentioned. The existence of some equipment that is important equipment is also mentioned in the procedure.
  9. Results and Findings are written in one section, but for a long exposition article, they can be separately put into several sections. The result must be clear and answer why and how questions, not merely expose it with words. Interpretation of findings must be connected with the literature and previous research.

10. Conclusion contains a summary of the results and findings;

12. Illustration (if any) must be put into Results and Findings. Illustration in the format of a table or picture (optional) is included, relevant writing is necessary and given enough explanation, typed in Word Document format, which can editable.

13. References It is strongly suggested that 80% of the references must be taken from scientific journals that have been published for the last 10 years. Use references from a research institution or university and a credible web page (e.g., IUCN, FAO, etc). Use literature that has been indexed in ISSN online/ ISSN print/ DOI/Scorpus.

Actual Article or Actual Notion in the Communication Field

Citation Instruction

In-text, written inside the text, the author uses direct citation after citation by using brackets. In-note is unified with the article, only marked by opening and closing brackets. Use the last name of the author and released year that is cited. Example:

Book with two or more authors

Secondary reference

Smith (2015) as quoted by Jones (2016) ......

The Smith Study 2015 (cited in Jones, 2016) shows that ...

More than one reference, it is based on a chronology of years or alphabetically if there is the same year.

References Writing Instruction

References are arranged alphabetically. Writing libraries using the Harvard Referencing Standard system. Everything listed in the bibliography should be referred to in the manuscript. Reference updates take precedence.

Additional Instructions (Graphs, Tables, and Photos)

All graphs, tables and photographs you enter in the document must be adjusted to the order of 1 column or full size of a paper without dots (.), Without bold print, furthurmore should be accompanied by a sentence referring to the image/table, to make it easier for reviewers to look at the meaning of the image. Graphs can follow the format for diagrams like Figure 1. The tables are presented in the format shown in Table 2. The images are presented in the format shown in Figure 3.
