Rapid urban population growth has resulted in a significant increase in mobility needs, creating challenges for an integrated public transportation system. This research presents a solution through the design of Pasar Turi Train Station revitalization as an Intermodal Transit Hub based on Transit Oriented Architecture (TOA), which aims to strengthen urban mobility through the integration of intermodal transportation systems. The main problem addressed is the lack of integration between transportation modes, which leads to travel inefficiencies, long waiting times, and a less-than-optimal user experience. The Transit Oriented Architecture approach provides a solution by integrating various transportation modes—trains, buses, public transportation, and non-motorized transportation—into a single, efficient and accessible Transit Hub facility. The basic design concept adopts TOA principles, emphasizing connectivity, accessibility, density, and mixed-use development. The design strategy includes spatial planning that supports seamless intermodal transfer, a pedestrian-friendly environment, and the integration of commercial and social functions to enhance the area's vitality. The architectural design is realized through a dynamic and iconic building form, reflecting the character of a modern transportation hub. The facade is designed with transparent and sustainable materials to create visual openness and optimize natural lighting. Interior details emphasize intuitive wayfinding, comfortable waiting areas, and comprehensive supporting facilities, including retail areas, a food court, and public spaces. The resulting design is expected to catalyze transit-based regional development, reduce dependence on private vehicles, and improve the quality of life for urban residents through an integrated and sustainable transportation system.
