Author Guidelines
Welcome to the submission guidelines for Jurnal Teknologi dan Manajemen Informatika (JTMI). Authors are requested to carefully read and follow these instructions to ensure a smooth submission and peer-review process.
Manuscript Template & Preparation
Before submitting your paper, ensure that your manuscript is fully formatted according to the official JTMI structure and layout.
-
Download the official JTMI Manuscript Template (MS Word format).
-
Manuscripts must be written in English or Indonesian, using a standard single-spaced, 12-point font layout.
-
All figures, tables, and equations must be embedded directly within the text at their appropriate positions.
Author Submission & Workflow Guidelines
The publishing process at JTMI follows a structured workflow to maintain scientific quality, transparency, and integrity:
1. Registration & Account Verification
-
Account Setup: Authors must complete the registration form (Google Form/OJS Registration).
-
Account Creation: The Editor creates and verifies the author's account credentials for submission access.
2. Submission & Initial Scope Screening
-
Full Paper Submission: Authors submit their full manuscript via the system.
-
Initial Evaluation: The Editor conducts an initial screening to check alignment with JTMI's scope.
-
If Declined: The decision is communicated to the author via email.
-
If Accepted (In Scope): The Editor issues a publishing invoice, and the author submits proof of payment.
-
3. Peer-Review Process
-
Reviewer Assignment: The Editor assigns qualified peer reviewers.
-
Review Evaluation: Reviewers evaluate the paper for scientific rigor and quality.
-
Revision Required: If adjustments are needed, the feedback is sent back to the author for manuscript revision.
-
Approved: Once revisions satisfy the reviewer, the paper moves to similarity checking.
-
4. Plagiarism Screening
-
Similarity Check: The Editor checks the revised manuscript using Turnitin.
-
Similarity > 20%: The manuscript is returned to the author for further revision and re-phrasing.
-
Similarity < 20%: The manuscript passes ethical screening and qualifies for acceptance.
-
5. Finalization & Publication
-
Letter of Acceptance (LoA): The Editor issues the official LoA and sends it to the author via email.
-
Layout & Data Verification: The paper is assigned to the Layout Editor to verify author metadata and perform final typesetting.
-
Article Publication: The finalized article is published online in the designated volume and issue.
Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items. Submissions may be returned to authors who do not adhere to these guidelines:
-
Originality: The submission has not been previously published, nor is it currently under consideration by another journal (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
-
Template Compliance: The manuscript is prepared strictly using the official JTMI Manuscript Template in Microsoft Word (.doc / .docx) format.
-
Reference Links: Where available, active URLs or DOIs for references have been provided.
-
Formatting: The text is single-spaced, uses a 12-point font, employs italics rather than underlining (except for URL addresses), and embeds all illustrations, figures, and tables at appropriate points within the text.
-
Blinded Review: If submitting to a peer-reviewed section, all instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed to remove author identification from the file properties and manuscript text.
